Brake your pattern of doing things!!!
For example, you can start from how you dress, wear something different, then you’ll feel different. Make something out of ordinary!
The more different you get, the better the result. So go for the most awkward things you can imagine. Change your style. Be a different person!
Changing room, the way you sort thing in your room, the decoration, the atmosphere, your appearance, your haircut, your favorite color, your hobby, think of anything… remember, go for the most extreme things…
If you have live with some pattern for some time, then you’ll find it is quite difficult to break free from the habit. The longer you have been like that, the harder it get. It the default ways of how your mind work.
Do you really have to think when you drive your way to your office? Or where is the bathroom in your house? No, it have been done so many time’s that you can even walk or drive half asleep.
That the way your mind do when you are doing the bad habit again and again. It so common that’s it is the default setting of your brain, when you are not thinking it will go there.
That’s why Allah SWT had give us a special prize, Ramadhan. One very special prize, the awaited month, of all other month in a year, the habit breaker.
If you can Strain your self from thinking and doing bad thing for a month, then it won’t be very difficult for you to free yourself from that bad habit forever. Go for the most extreme ways. What can be more extreme than keeping yourself from eating? The most basic need of human beings, other than air of course.
